MISSION STATEMENT
We exist to glorify God the Father, proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, and live our lives in submission to the
Holy Spirit. The members of FBC Roland has convented together for mutual encouragement and instruction in
carrying out this mission.
Our History
First Baptist Church of Roland has existed for over 135 years and we realize that our next year is not guaranteed. We are committed to keeping Christ at the forefront of His church. We know that the Lord honors His Word and we want to be shaped by the Scriptures, not the current culture. Our plan is not found in marketing gimmicks or new techniques designed to draw a crowd. Our passion is for a fresh proclamation of an ancient story, one that has stood the test of time. We believe the gospel is the draw of a church. We have stood for well over a century with the message of "Christ saves sinners!" It is this message that we were built on and we believe this message will sustain us into the future. Yes, at times we have been distracted from the message. We've been guilty not proclaiming as loudly as we should. The focus of this year and every year to come is the message of redemption that only comes by repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Faith
